|Fire Flower Wall Climb|
The Fire Flower Wall Climb, also known as One-Sided Wall Jumping, is an advanced technique used in Super Mario Maker. This technique allows Fire Mario to gain height while wall jumping up a single wall.
How It Works
Shooting a fireball immediately after wall jumping cancels the wall jump state allowing Mario to be able to immediately turn around towards the wall. Well timed air twirls allow Mario to regrab the wall at a spot higher than his initial jump.
Basic Fire Flower Wall Climb
Through the use of Crouch Storage it is possible to climb the wall while being in a crouch. Letting go of the down button will cause Mario to lose his stored crouch.
It is possible to carry a P Switch or spring up a wall while performing the wall climb. However, it is harder with the spring as it requires precise timing or a Sissy Throw to start. The air twirl timing is considerably more strict than the basic technique, requiring near perfect execution to actually gain height.
